The Center was designed and built specifically for outpatient surgery, San Diego Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center first opened its doors in September of 1974. The facility is located on the ground floor of Park North Medical Center, a three story medical office building at the corner of Washington Street and Eighth Avenue in San Diego, California.
The Center is a freestanding, multi-specialty facility which features four operating rooms , six recovery beds and a highly qualified staff of dedicated health care professions.

The Center is certified by Medicare, was licensed by the State of California (until such licensing was discontinued and is currently no longer available to physician owned facilities) and has held accreditation through AAAHC or JCAHO.
